Our Greatest Year by Robert Attenweiler at the Brick June 17-26

New York Times review June 21, 2011

“Anna Brenner’s empathic direction brings this unflagging pessimist and his mystified wife to vivid life”

Backstage article featuring Cass Collins and 3 Women

“Working with Anna changed my view of modern-day theater. It was an experience,” says Collins. “It was exciting for me that it could be about the process, not just mounting the production and getting the show done and up.” Although she remains grateful for the community-theater opportunities that sparked a renewed interest in her erstwhile craft, Collins views “3 Women” as a definite milestone and the future standard for an increasingly professional career.”

I’ll be flying to Arkansas in November to work with The Artist’s Laboratory Theatre on  Bombs, Babes, and Bingo by Merri Biechler.  Very exciting to collaborate with Erika Wilhite and such a great company before they take this show all over the south.

I started workshops for 3 Women this past week and I’m planning for Anyuta in Philly.  Also, you should plan to spend your Sunday’s this February at to The Stone in the East Village…

Are We Here Yet? I miss and love you.  Thanks to everyone who came to see it and to everyone at the undergroundzero festival.  We even made a big change in the piece after the second day of performances…it continues to want to live.  In other news, I went to Dia: Beacon this weekend with the cast…and camping (tent! campfire!) at Malouf’s Mountain, and had the most amazing popsicle of my life (cucumber, mint, chili) in Beacon.  And not to forget, we all hiked while chewing sticks (licorice).

I was so thrilled to find this online: Shawn Colvin’s Hold On cover
